Ammu Varghase stepped away from her career for eight years to raise her children. Committed to staying relevant, she invested in her skillset. However, Varghase felt a strong desire to rejoin the workforce and use her skills to make a positive impact on her own children.

“When you are away from work for a long time, you might lose track of how to come back,” she said. Varghase attended the British Chamber of Commerce Dubai (BCCD) event to connect job seekers with potential employers, hoping it would be the stepping stone she needed to return to her career. She was not the only one there with that situation, there was others in the room who also had to step away from their careers and were looking to join the workforce.
