In the UAE and GCC regions, this year’s highest-paying jobs have been dominated by key roles in both tech and non-tech sectors. Moreover, with marketing undergoing and enabling significant transformation due to digital advancements, roles such as performance marketing, digital marketing, and market research have seen a rise in salaries.
“Given the surge in AI adoption and implementation across various industries, AI developers are currently in very high demand within the tech sector. This demand has positioned AI development as one of the most lucrative tech careers in the region,” said Anil Kumar Singh, Country Head – KSA at TASC Outsourcing.
“Overall, these roles highlight the dynamic and evolving job market in the UAE and GCC, emphasizing the importance of both technological expertise and strategic business leadership,” explained Singh.
The UAE employment market in 2024 is buzzing with activity, offering some of the most lucrative job opportunities across various sectors. According to recent surveys, the following job roles are currently the top-paying:
Leadership and Executive Roles
Unsurprisingly, senior leadership and executive positions top the list. The average monthly salary for CXOs (CEO, CTO, CMO, etc.) in the UAE is AED 100,000 (US $27,250), with additional benefits often costing employers around AED 25,000 to 30,000 per month.
In the tech arena, positions like Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) command impressive salaries ranging from 90,000 to 130,000 AED monthly. Additionally, the role of IT Director also stands out, with salaries between 75,000 and 85,000 AED per month.
Non-tech roles are not far behind, with Chief Human Resources Officers (CHRO) earning between 75,000 and 110,000 AED monthly and Chief Financial Officers (CFO) making 80,000 to 110,000 AED monthly. The Audit Director role is another high-paying position, offering salaries from 70,000 to 90,000 AED monthly
Surgeons and Healthcare Specialists
With the UAE’s healthcare industry rapidly expanding, the demand for skilled surgeons and healthcare specialists is surging. Leading healthcare providers offer experienced surgeons a monthly salary of AED 65,000 (US $17,500) plus additional perks.
Petroleum and Engineering Experts
As one of the world’s leading oil producers, the UAE offers excellent compensation packages for petroleum industry experts. Experienced professionals in this sector can secure jobs paying around AED 50,000 (US $13,600) monthly, with benefits. Similarly, engineering roles in the construction, electrical, and mechanical sectors offer comparable salaries.
Corporate Professionals
Corporate roles in the banking and private sectors also offer substantial earning potential. Experienced professionals in sales, marketing, business development, banking, IT, and advanced technology can earn between AED 37,000 (US $10,100) and AED 45,000 (US $12,200) per month, along with regular perks and privileges.

The UAE job market in 2024 is rich with opportunities for high salaries and excellent benefits across various industries, making it an attractive destination for top talent worldwide. According to Dr Keya Bayramova, a renowned Human Resources Consultant and CEO of People Link HR Consultancies, benefits packages in the UAE have evolved significantly.
Initially, packages focused on basic health insurance and housing allowances. Over the years, packages have expanded to include comprehensive health coverage, educational allowances for children, wellness programs, and flexible working conditions.
“Employers now offer more diverse perks to attract and retain talent, reflecting global trends and the UAE’s competitive job market. Additionally, there’s been an increased emphasis on work-life balance, mental health support, and professional development opportunities, aligning with modern workforce expectations,” she added.
According to the interviewees, relying solely on high salaries to attract talent is no longer sufficient. Candidates prioritise comprehensive benefits that cater to their holistic needs which creates challenges to adapt the right compensation and benefits strategies is crucial to align with evolving employee expectations and ensure success in 2024-2025.
“As remote work becomes more prevalent, it is crucial for companies to consider provide internet allowances and support remote workers’ mental health with virtual wellness programs, to enhance their productivity and wellbeing,” said Maisa Maarouf, Head of HR & Administration at BSA Law Firm.
