Randle talks about the importance of having a process to identify and retain top talent, noting that its’t not just about compensation but also providing a culture that attracts top talent, possible through empowering the company’s leadership itself.

“Empowering and building coaches and mentors, and what I call building a legacy of leadership within your company, and then people will stay, and then people eventually will become attracted to it,” he explains.

He talks about the neeed for companies to define success and understand what their top performers look like.

“Make sure that you define success and understand what your top performers look like, and then have a process to look at people and see if they match up with your top performers and have the same DNA,” explains Randle.

George stressed the signifance of leadership, noting that bad leadership is the primary reason people leave companies. He also spoke about globalization of talent, indicating that emerging countries are becoming competitive talent hubs.

He advises companies to treat their human capital with the same discipline and focus as their financial capital.

“Treat your human capital with the same discipline, rigor, and focus that you do your financial capital, and you will win,” Randle said.
