The Ministry of Labour in Qatar signed a cooperation agreement with the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies to enhance job qualification programs for Qatari nationals seeking employment in the private sector.
The ministry said this initiative is to prepare job seekers, particularly those with secondary school diplomas, with the necessary skills to compete in the job market.
The agreement, signed by the ministry is part of the broader goals outlined in Qatar’s Third National Development Strategy 2024–2030 and aligns with the Qatar National Vision 2030, which seeks to increase national workforce participation in the private sector.
Training programs will be developed for job seekers registered on the “Kawader” platform, supported by experts from DI, the ministry said.
They also added that this collaboration will also include training initiatives for Qatari nationals and the children of Qatari women, and will involve private sector employees in job qualification efforts, to help foster a skilled Qatari workforce.
