In this episode, we talk about how trauma affects our work with Hadassah Vorm, a Trauma Therapist and Business Coach. Vorm, who is an expert in helping people manage their emotions, explains that confronting ourselves is the first step in ensuring we heal and manage our workplace relations.

“Trauma is not related to work; we think it is related because we are triggered by some situations and people, but if you sit down at home, then it is interesting to see what is below [the trigger],” she explains.

One reason for the increased trauma following COVID-19 is that many people were working from home and experiencing isolation, which heightened their emotional triggers. Additionally, the pandemic profoundly changed people, as the fear of death during this time left many feeling more traumatised.

She explains that the trauma is due to early childhood. “It is all about you,” Vorm said.
